MFin is a program designed for ambitious finance careers

Are you analytical, quantitatively minded and ready to build a career in financial services? This pathway is designed for graduates who want to combine global management experience with a Canadian Master of Finance degree. Whether you are entering the field directly after your undergraduate degree or bringing previous work experience, you can build the technical expertise, business perspective and global exposure to take your next step in finance.

Build from broad business knowledge to advanced finance expertise

Start with the Global Management Programme, Finance and Fintech track at SPJIMR in Mumbai, India’s financial capital. Build a foundation in management, finance and fintech before continuing to DeGroote for advanced finance studies.

At DeGroote, take your expertise further through areas such as derivatives, econometrics, machine learning in finance, fixed income and computational finance. Gain hands-on experience managing a real portfolio through the student-run MFin Investment Fund.

The result is a connected learning experience that takes you from foundational business knowledge to advanced financial expertise.

Understand both the numbers and the decisions behind them

Modern finance requires more than technical expertise. By combining management and finance education, you’ll develop the ability to understand the numbers while also considering the business decisions, strategy and context behind them.

Graduate with a broader perspective on finance and the ability to connect quantitative analysis with real-world business challenges.

Gain a global perspective

Take your learning beyond the classroom with an international experience spanning Mumbai and Canada.

Begin your journey at SPJIMR in Mumbai before continuing your MFin at DeGroote in Canada. You’ll also have a four-month break at McMaster that can be used to pursue work experience or prepare for professional designations such as the CFA.

Graduate with two credentials and two alumni networks

Complete the pathway with credentials from two leading business schools: a GMP Certificate from SPJIMR and a Master of Finance from McMaster University.

You’ll also join the alumni communities of both institutions, expanding your professional network across India, Canada and beyond.
