When choosing to pursue a Master of Finance degree, it’s important to consider all associated costs. Beyond tuition fees, be mindful of other academic expenses you may incur during the program. Tuition for the academic year will be as follows:

A $3,500 CAD non-refundable deposit will be required upon acceptance of an offer. Exact deadline of the deposit payment will be noted in the offer letter.

Scholarships may be awarded to both domestic and international applicants and are considered on a competitive basis based on the students’ academic performance, extra-curricular activities/experiences, and other criteria the MFIN Admission Committee considers to be essential for the program. A separate application is not required for the scholarship. The total amount may be paid as one payment in Term 1 or divided into equal payments between the three terms.
This is awarded to a student who has successfully completed the first year of the Master of Finance (MFin) program at the DeGroote School of Business and who, in the judgement of the MFin Academic Committee, has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in attaining the highest cumulative GPA in the first two terms of the MFin program.
This is awarded to a student who has successfully completed the first year of the Master of Finance (MFin) program at the DeGroote School of Business and who, in the judgement of the MFin Academic Committee, has demonstrated outstanding leadership, volunteerism, community involvement, or extra-curricular activities that have enhanced the experience of all MFin students and advanced the MFin program.
These scholarships are available to in-course students interested in taking their CFA exam(s) during their studies. In 2023, we awarded between 10-15 scholarships for all three levels of the CFA exam.
These scholarships are available to in-course students interested in taking their CPA/FRM exam(s) during their studies.

MFin students can apply for Teaching Assistant positions. Opportunities are posted throughout the year.
MFin students have the opportunity to seek work opportunities for their 4-month-long summer term. While we cannot guarantee work placements during this term, we do offer dedicated career resources to support you.
